Ember & Moss is a fictional small-batch candle studio, invented for a WooCommerce learning environment.
The story we made up
In our invented history, two friends started pouring candles in a converted garage after a winter of trying to recreate the smell of a cedar trail after rain. Twelve products later, the studio pours in batches of forty, cures every candle for two weeks, and labels each amber jar by hand.
Each scent is a small scene: a bakery on a slow Sunday, a cracked-open window, a reading room after closing. The labels carry an illustration of the scene so you can tell them apart across a room.
What is real here
- The store software: WordPress, WooCommerce and the Storefront theme, configured the way a small shop would.
- The mechanics: variations, stock levels, coupons, shipping rules, a fictional tax rate, order statuses and refunds all behave for real.
- Nothing else. The studio, products, reviews, customers and order history are invented sample data.
